Dottie for Missouri

I am proud to support small businesses across Missouri. So many of these small business owners work tirelessly to ensure that there is food on the table and a roof over their head- it is not always easy. As your State Representative, I vow to vote against unnecessary regulations on small businesses that only hinder their growth. It is more important than ever for both parties to work together to stop government overreach. ...

Happy Daughter day (day late) to this little one. Before covid broke out she spent a week with me at the Capitol and within a day or two she knew the whole Capitol layout, found all the fossils embedded in the floor, showed me short cuts back to my office, filed my bill, took over the Speaker’s Dias and was able to be a page on the Senate floor (I can’t even walk on the Senate floor, so she thought that was funny). ...

Each day I am talking to you and hearing your concerns about in person learning and having activities and sports resume in St. Louis County. Each day I see parents and grandparents stepping forward with courage and community in an effort to safely resume life for our children. I can not say enough how incredibly encouraging and honoring it is to stand with you in these efforts. You are doing it, you are making the difference. I praise your efforts!

Dr. Miles and Rockwood are moving forward in these efforts to safely resume school and is boldly stepping outside the county for sports and activities. I praise their efforts as well!

Until the state legislature changes the emergency powers that St. Louis county uses to cripple us, I ask you to courageously continue. Continue to write letters and emails, make phone calls, form advocate groups, peacefully assemble, support each other, attend meetings and be involved. Without your massive involvement the strides we have made this far would not be possible.

Alexis De Tocqueville said in “Democracy in America”:

“If each citizen did not learn, in proportion as he individually becomes more feeble, and consequently more incapable of preserving his freedom single-handed, to combine with his fellow-citizens for the purpose of defending it, it is clear that tyranny would unavoidably increase together with equality.”

Don’t stop and neither will I!

In Liberty,

Dottie

Those freedoms are only possible because of the men and women protecting this great nation. I will continue to fight for those that made such an important sacrifice. ...

Thanks to all the District #110 folks that have taken a few moments to chat with us this weekend and the past few weeks, it’s always truly a pleasure meeting you and spending a few minutes together. And thank you to Rep. Sara Walsh that came from Ashland, MO to help. She hit doors with me for several hours in red cowboy boots and not a peep of a complaint. She is tough! 🇺🇸🙌🏼 ...
